Kat Connolly
For over 20 years, Ms. Connolly has achieved success in political strategy and finance in California, Washington D.C. and across the United States. She has been successful in providing hands-on leadership and direction in strategic political operations and fundraising development for elected leaders at all levels of government. In addition, her detailed knowledge of federal, state and local campaign laws and public reporting regulations have helped build her business.
Her career began as a legislative deputy to CA State Senator, Herschel Rosenthal. She entered the campaign world in 1999 as a political staff member for Governor Gray Davis. In 2001, she started her political consulting business working with Antonio Villaraigosa’s campaign for Mayor of Los Angeles. For two years she worked in Washington DC as a consultant to the Democratic Governors Association, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Governor Parris Glendening of Maryland and then candidate Bill Richardson for Governor of New Mexico.
Upon her return to Los Angeles, she has had a varied list of clients over the years including Antonio Villaraigosa, Congressmembers Zoe Lofgren and Grace Napolitano, State Controller John Chiang, State Senator Anthony Portantino, Los Angeles City Controller Ron Galperin and Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price.
She currently serves on the board of Barlow Respiratory Hospital and has served as board member and president of the San Fernando Valley Leadership Institute. Ms. Connolly is on the board of the San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center. She is an award-winning author, speaker and advocate for mental health policy reform, including strengthening laws impacting childhood victims of abuse.
